The paintings of Sasja Hagens are a record of the habour and city scapes of her home town of Rotterdam and other port cities. She is greatly inspired by the dynamics of such places which change on an almost daily basis. The steel, concrete and glass of industrial landscapes are the perfect outlet for her large scale pieces which are often commissioned.
